DARREN SWEET GRASS was born on January 31, 1967; he passed away suddenly on Thursday October 29, 2009 at the age of 42 years old. Darren was survived by his children Brook (Michelle) Little Shields, Kalcia (Nick) Little Shields, Tucker Sweet Grass, Shaylyn Sweet Grass, Kenton Shade and Kristy-Rae Oka, and special friend Yolanda Little Shields, his mother Mary Rose Sweet Grass, father Frank Small Eyes, sisters Marlene Sweet Grass, Darita Small Eyes, Chrissy (Jono) Mistaken Chief, Rose Marie Sweet Grass, adopted brothers Mike (Stephanie) Sweet Grass, Ace Sweet Grass, Cade Sweet Grass, and his two precious Grandchildren Trip Little Bear and Nash Little Shields, his Special aunts Alfreda Sweet Grass, Catherine (Oliver) Russell, Rosabelle (Calvin) Day Chief, Molly Small Eyes, Aflreda Delaney, Great Aunts Margaret Weasel Fat, Elizabeth Red Crow, Elsie First Rider, Isabelle Healy, Mary Louise Fox, his Uncles Arthur (Rosetta) Sweet Grass, Sam Small Eyes, Frances Small Eyes, Frank Wolf Plume.
He was predeceased by his infant brother Marvin Frank, Great Grandparents Leonard Sweet Grass and Mary Frank, Grandparents Alfred and Eva Sweet Grass, George and Rosie Small Eyes, his Uncles Fredrick Sweet Grass, Conrad Frances “Gordon” Sweet Grass, Alfred Jr. “Tony” Sweet Grass, Charlie Bull Shields, Herbert Bull Shields, Thomas Bull Shields, Great uncles Billy Eagle Bear, Stanley Eagle Bear, Eddie Eagle Bear, Mike Eagle Bear, Billy Bird, Pete Small Eyes, Luke Small Eyes, Aunts Bertha Sweet Grass, Christine Sweet Grass, Beatrice Shouting, Theresa Small Eyes, Great Aunts Suzie Bull Shields, Jean Bellows, Cecile Russell, Annie Crazy Bull, Jean Calf Robe, Jane Eagle Child, Katie Bull Shields, Cousins; Laura Healy, and Clarence Healy.

A Wake Service will be held at White Calf Chapel, Stand Off, AB. on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 7:00 to 11:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at ST. PAUL’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, Cardston, AB., on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.
