Dale Meredith

Dale passed away at the age of 71 years, on Tuesday, November 6, 2024, after his brave fight with cancer.

Dale is survived by his adoring wife, Cindy Meredith; their children: Robert (Rosie) Meredith, Lillian (Kevin) Newton, and Willin (Sharlee) Meredith; and beautiful grandchildren: Chaython, Jaden, Samantha, Franklin, Sahara, Jake and Serdonevan; as well as his brother, Don (Vicky) Meredith.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank and Edna Meredith.

Dale was born Roderick Somers to Mary, in Toronto, Ontario. Shortly after birth, he was adopted and lovingly raised by Frank and Edna Meredith, who raised him in and near Dundalk, Ontario. He attended Flesherton Highschool, where he played football.

He met Cindy Watt in Durham. They were married and moved to Kitchener, where their first son, Robert was born. The family later moved to Edson, Alberta, where Dale worked as a parts salesman. They welcomed Lillian and Willin to the family, as well as Casey the dog. Dale was very active in his new community; he was a Lions member, and a coach for various children’s sports. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed travelling with his family so much that Casey the dog had been more places than many people. Dale will be greatly missed by many.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held at the IRON SPRINGS CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHRUCH, 224 Centre Street, Iron Springs, AB, on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Brian Corr officiating.
