CURTIS HANSON

CURTIS HANSON, of Coalhurst, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the age of 60 years. Curt is survived by his four children, Tracy (Brent) Rolland and Tara Coates of Melfort, SK; Candace Hanson (Scott Soenen) of Lethbridge, AB; Hollie Hanson of Taber, AB; and his four grandchildren, Chelsea Coates; Mckenzie, Paige and Connor Rolland. He is also survived by Kim Stephens of Lethbridge, AB, Mother of Candace and Hollie; his two sisters, Carol (Bill) Wilk and Marilyn; his brother, Murray Hanson; and several nieces and nephews, as well as his dog Sasha. He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Marjorie; son Chad; and granddaughter Ashley. Born in Bengough, SK on July 7, 1948, Curt moved to Alberta in 1989 and settled in Coalhurst. He was employed at Hostess Frito Lay for over 17 years as a shipper. Curt was known for his witty banter and sense of humour. He was a Royal Canadian Legion Member and enjoyed fishing. Curt loved spending time with family and friends, and recently found a new love in white water rafting. Curt will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A private family service will be held in Bengough, Saskatchewan at a later date.
