ANNETTE ALICIA CURRIE, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Donald Currie, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Mum is survived by her children Douglas and Sylvia Currie of Squamish, B.C., Judith Currie-Ross of Lethbridge; grandchildren Jodi & Dinesh Naidu of Calgary, Chris & Erin Ross of Lethbridge; sister Myrt (Ivan) McMurdo of Victoria, B.C. and Hilda Lewis of Red Deer, AB., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her great-grandchild, whom she referred to as "little doodlebug". Mum was very proud of her family and of all of their accomplishments. She encouraged all of us to be the best we could be. Ann loved watching birds, gardening, golfing, reading and crossword puzzles. At the Request of Ann no funeral service will be held. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7, or to a charity of their choice.
