Curl, Laurie-Anne

LAURIE-ANNE CURL (née Werry), of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Matthew Curl, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the age of 48 years.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband, Matt; her children, Samantha, Ryan, Danielle (Robert), Kayle (Trenton) and Matthew (Taylor); her grandchildren, Aiden, Payton, Tegan, Skyler and William; parents Donna and Dave; sisters Wendy (Paul)  and Cheryl (Kelly) and nieces Melissa, Jessica, Jade and Faith as well as numerous cousins, friends and loved ones.

Laurie is predeceased by her grandparents Gene, Les, Doris and John; cousin Marvin and her Aunt Joyce, Beat, Mame.

Laurie was born on October 31, 1970 in Toronto, ON to Dave and Donna Werry. Laurie was always an amazing and supportive sister to Wendy and Cheryl. In 1992, Laurie met Matt Curl—the love of her life. Laurie welcomed Matt's children Samantha and Ryan in with open arms and always treated them as if they were her own. In 1994, Laurie and Matt welcomed their first born child, Danielle. In 1995, Laurie and Matt vowed to love each other for the rest of their life and on February 11, they got married in a beautiful ceremony. That same year, they welcomed their second child, Kayle. In 1999, Laurie and Matt decided to welcome another child into their family and, in 2000, they had their youngest son, Matthew.

Laurie lived a simple life with her husband and children. Sadly in November 2016, Laurie was diagnosed with colon cancer. Laurie fought her battle hard for three years. On August 16, 2019, Laurie gained her wings and went to heaven to be with her Lord and Saviour.

Laurie will be greatly missed by all and she will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ralph Molyneux officiating.
