CSASZAR, ILONA &QUOT HELEN&QUOT

HELEN ILONA (HORVATH) CSASZAR was born on March 21, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the age of 75 years.

She is survived by her ever loving husband of 53 years, Frank, her youngest daughter Susan, Kathi (Darrell), her two grandsons Jacob and Michael (Andrea) and her three great grandchildren Lucas and Ayden, with a third one yet to be determined.

Helen married Frank in 1956 before arriving in Montreal, May 5, 1957 and then immigrated to Lethbridge on June 6, 1957.

She made many friends in her life here in Lethbridge. She worked as part of the night crew at City Hall, in the processing plant for Lilydale and at the YWCA as part of the caretaking staff. After 1976, she became a full time house wife to take care of her two daughters Kathleen and Susan. Helen pursued her love of embroidery, cooking and gardening. She made friends easily with an open heart and happy kitchen always with homemade pastries and food.

Although she was diagnosed with diabetes in 1985, she managed to stay on top of it and managed it effectively. Her last four years were a brave fight against cancer and her determination to outdo the disease was more than remarkable. Her strong heart and will was an inspiration to all her knew her.

Flowers and gifts of food are graciously declined, however, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2M7, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 210D - 12 “A” Street North, Lethbridge, AB., T1H 2J1.
