Len was predeceased by his father Peter and mother Carrie; sisters: Norma, Betty and Ruth; and brothers Mel and Gerry.
Len often shared fond memories of growing up in the Sunnyside area (Eight Mile Lake School Districts). He worked for his Uncle Leonard at the Arctic Service Station in Lethbridge for 12 years. He moved to Stone's Auto Repair, where he acquired his mechanic's license. He was then employed by Kirk's Tire for over 20 years, retiring in 1978.
Len and Loretta married on April 22, 1954 and lived in the town of Coaldale. For over 67 years, they supported the community with various projects. They built wonderful friendships that lasted many years. Together, they maintained and worked hard at the Rental Property Business that they started in 1964.
As an active sports enthusiast, he played fastball, curled and golfed. For 40+ years, Len and Loretta supported the Lethbridge Broncos and Hurricanes as season ticket holders. They enjoyed travelling to eight Memorial Cups in Canada and the U.S.A.
A kind and gentle spirit he loved his cats and throughout the years never turned away a stray cat that needed a home.
Due to the Covid restrictions, there will not be a formal service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Gem of the West Museum (PO Box 343, Coaldale, AB, T1M 1M4).
