BEATRICE MARION COOK, beloved wife of Donald Cook, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with members of her family by her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 76 years. Besides her loving husband she leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Jerry (Sharon), Carol (Nick), and Jackie; nine grandchildren, Ashleigh (Dave), Jeremy (Amanda), Chrystal (Alex), Brittany (Will), Ainsleigh, Steven, Nicole, Aimee, and Ryan as well as two great-grandchildren, Kaston and Kingston. She is also survived by her brother Gordon Chalmers, brother-in-law Joe Cook, and sister-in-law Susan (Morley) Roelofs. She was predeceased by her parents Duncan and Alice Chalmers.
Beatrice was born on November 16, 1935 at the Galt Hospital. She attended Galbraith Elementary School and Hamilton Junior High. She worked for American Optical as a technician for a number of years. On May 25, 1957, she married Don Cook in Lethbridge. She devoted her life to raising their three children, Jerry, Carol, and Jackie.
Her kind heart touched many people throughout her life. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had a real soft spot for babies. The most recent highlight was her two new great-grandsons, Kaston (4), and Kingston (2 Weeks). She was also a very understanding person to the elderly or the infirm. Beatrice will be greatly missed, but she will live in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the PARK MEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH, 2011 - 15th Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB, T1H 5J4, on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
A Private graveside service will take place at the Archmount Cemetery after the luncheon.
