VINCENT CONVERSE passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 73 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Kathy Converse (Lethbridge), sons Dwayne (Carol) Converse (Lethbridge) and Trevor (Tara) Converse (San Antonio, Texas) and daughter Kara Converse (Calgary), brother John (Gwen) Converse (Edmonton) and sister Barb (Bill) Clark  (North Battleford, SK) and grandchildren Alicia, Shae Lynn, Blake and Emma, numerous Fur Babies and nieces and nephews.

Vince was predeceased by his parents Carl and Jessie Converse and his in-laws Joe and Helen Boyer.

Vince was born April 30, 1947 in North Battleford, SK. and passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family.

He was very active in sports at a young age, baseball and hockey was his sports of choice!

Vince's main career was a long haul truck driver.  Travelling all over North America, minus Newfoundland and Alaska.  His CB handle was the Red Baron for his red semi trucks!  He was a Road Warrior and Conquered many miles!

Dad was a walking, talking GPS system!  If I ever needed to know where something was I would just have to tell him what highway I was on and what exit number I was close to and he could tell you what exit to take how long it would take you to get there.  He had all the routes, exit numbers and the best places for a shower memorized!

He loved his beloved Edmonton Oilers…die hard fan!  He also loved NASCAR to the point of dragging his only daughter to the race!  HE also loved the fur babies!  Chloe, Sidney and Ebony held a special spot his heart.  He loved to cuddle, nurture and play fetch with them.

Dad loved music, fox news and the crazy Johnny dollar stories! There was always something playing in his Semi when you were in there with him.

To those of us who really knew dad you knew he had a big heart, infectious laugh and he ALWAYS had a smile on his face…dad's famous last words.."I'm good"

Quotes made famous from dad:

 "We'll do it tomorrow"

"You'll do as I say not as I do"

"Zzzzz snore zzzzz"

"Ask your mother"

"10-4"

"Hey! hey kids there's Adanac! That's Canada spelled backwards"

He had numerous friends all over North America from trucking he will be greatly missed by all.

Thank you to the staff of St. Michael's Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, especially Celeste, Chinook Regional Hospital Drs and Nurses on unit 4B, Jack Ady Cancer Centre, Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Foothills ER family.
