Mom, you were one of my true loves ~ I will hold tight your words and keep them close to me.
Life can never prepare you to say goodbye to someone you cherish so deeply, I know you are watching over us and I will carry on your love for our family.
Mothership, you were everything. I miss you very much but my heart knows that you’re love will be what keeps me going.
I love you ~ ”I love you too” is how we always ended our calls 🩷

I just heard of Connie's passing and regret that I could not pay my respects in person. I've known Connie since I was an elementary school student and got to know her better in high school. After high school every time I seen her I would get a hug. 💙 Truly an all time favorite teacher. I would like to send my thoughts and prayers of strength and comfort to her husband, children and grandchildren. Thanks for sharing your wife/mom with all her students.
RIP Mrs. Crop Eared Wolf

I love you mom. I will hold tight to the teachings you gave us and for the love you had for all. You were fierce and protective of Indigenous Education and sought out to make it your life’s mission to empower Indigenous youth. Your legacy lives on with us, your grandchildren and your students who you took in as all your children. We were all blessed to have you in our lives mom, the world is less with your passing. I will continue to pray for your and your safe travels to Omahsipatsiko. Kitsikakomima naa’ah.

I have wonderful memories of Connie and her partner in crime, Geraldine Soop, from my time working with KBE libraries. The two were always scheming and planning various adventures. They were so much fun. My sincere condolences to Connie’s family.

Connie, along with her partner in crime, Geraldine Soop, provided so many fond memories of my time spent as a Library Consultant to the Kainai Board of Education. Sadly both are gone now but I often think about them “planning” and “scheming”. So much fun! Sincere condolences to the whole CEW family.

Oki,I just wanted to send my sincere condolences to Connie's husband,Alana,Andre, grandchildren, and to all her clise family.I had the honor of knowing Connie when she was working at our Hugh School.I would sometimes tease her in a good way,one day she asked me,"ma Robin, what's your Indian name,I jokinly told her in English,my Indian name is "Most Wanted Man",she just looked at me abd said "kay ay" and walked away but later she was laughing hard when I told her that she should of just said "na ha".Connie was a soft soul, always ready to give anybody a helping hand, she loved her teaching and her students, she will be missed greatly.Thank you,Connie, for all that we shared in our cultural and traditional ways & the old stories you shared. You will be missed abundantly 💝.

I was saddened to hear of Connie's passing. She and I were at the University of Lethbridge back in the early 1980's and had a few courses together. She was a joyful lady with a great sense of humour and compassion. Whenever I saw her over the years, her joy, humour and compassion still shone through. Condolences to her family and other loved ones, and prayers for her as she journeys home.

Connie resembled most her mother Nellie (my aunt). She kept the ties strong to the North Peigan and Big Swan families at Piikani Nation. Much love and prayer to her husband, children and brothers and a sister as you remember her this week and throughout the year from North Peigan and Big Swan families.

I loved working with this lovely, kind, patience and compassionate woman. She welcomed me into her circle, gifted me with a treasured poncho, and honoured me with her traditional teachings. My condolences go out to her husband, family and those who loved her most.
