MRS. CLARICE ELIZABETH SHORTLAND, beloved wife of the late Mr. William Shortland, passed away at the Lethbridge Extendicare on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the age of 99 years. She is survived by her son John (Mary) Shortland of Lethbridge, grandchildren Steven (Dorothy) White of Edmonton and Susan (Edward) Carroll of Virginia Beach, USA and great grandchildren Kris (Laurelie) White of Edmonton and Kerry (Graham) Bodner of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1990. Clarice was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, General Stewart Branch #4 as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a life member of the Norbridge Seniors and enjoyed Bingo and friend Sandy. Every Friday enjoyed (and looked forward to) getting her hair done by her friend Gillian. Clarice lived in the Legion Arms from 1989 to April 2007 before moving to the Lethbridge Extendicare. A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Larry Hankinson officiating. In memory of Clarice, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 3L7.
