CATHERINE PARKER

MRS. CATHERINE VICTORIA PARKER, beloved wife of the late Mr. Glen D. Parker of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael’s Health Centre, Palliative Care on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her sons; Greg (Lavina), Bob (Marilyn) and Jim (Lorelei) and grandchildren; Stephen, Sarah, Matthew, Michael, Stephanie and Stacey. She was predeceased by her husband Glen in 2002 as well as 2 sisters and a brother. Cathy was born in Hardieville on June 15, 1926 and later moved to Victoria with her family. She married Glen Parker on October 26, 1949 and moved back to Lethbridge. Together they farmed in the Broxburn Road and Pincher Creek areas for over 40 years. Catherine also worked for Alberta Environment and retired in 1987. Her greatest joy was cooking and visiting with family and friends. She welcomed everyone into her home and loved to laugh, dance and play the piano. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Peter Coyne officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In memory of Catherine, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, #402, 740 - 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0N9.
