Carrie Landry
1978 – 2024
My spirit is now free to soar. You can miss me, that’s fine, but don’t forget that I am soaring and free. Be happy for me, smile and be good to yourselves.
My spirit is now free to soar. You can miss me, that’s fine, but don’t forget that I am soaring and free. Be happy for me, smile and be good to yourselves.
I leave behind my loving mother, Carolyn Stone (Joe), my brother Aaron (Samantha), nieces Breanna Johnson (Kris), Beth Steele (Ryan), Emma Steele, and Eden Steele (Tyreese). I was Auntie G to Freya, Lotus and Fox. The family I chose - Doug and Val Umscheid, “the Girls”; Barb, Christine, Erin, Marianne, Dusty and Lola. And to my favourite companion, my loving and loyal dog Taboo.
I am survived by uncle Joseph Stone (Gloria d.), aunts Gail Kelly (Larry), Fran Campbell (Hughie d.), aunt Cheryl Landry and uncle Joseph Landry as well as an extended family of cousins.
I was predeceased by my Dad John Landry, brother John Wayne Landry, grandparents Joseph and Mary Landry and Charlie and Eva Stone, as well as uncles Tom and Rob Landry, Vernon, Gordon and Wayne Stone, and aunts Sharon, Gladys and Mary.
In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make a donation in my name, to the Lethbridge Soup kitchen, a homeless shelter or support causes that were dear to my heart.
Look for me at sunrise and in the sunsets and in all my favourite places, I will be there.

Carrie was a kind-hearted soul who would give or help without thought, and I'm heartbroken upon hearing this tragic news. Rest in Peace, Carrie
Carrie, I will always remember our night time visits on the balcony at work. I will always remember the fun we had singing and dancing. You brought joy to my life. I am so grateful I had the privilege of knowing you!
Our interactions were limited – mostly when Taboo had snuck away or into our yard to see our dog – but Carrie's kindness was always evident. May she rest peacefully. (Nic & Shae, 934 neighbours)
