Our Mom is also at St Therese Villa. We loved our time spent with Miss Carol and will miss her greatly and although we were not part of her regular life we will certainly miss her for being part of our current life. May she rest in peace

Grams, Cheers to the resilient young woman you were, who turned into the magnificent woman who lived, and lastly, to the memory of the most influential woman I had the honor to call Grandma. Life wasn't always fair in the years you lived, yet you always had a way to smile through it all, with that little chuckle and side smile making everyone at ease around you. There wasn't a single path you crossed that you didn't bring sunlight to. As the matriarch of our family, you watched our family grow from your own children to grandchildren and onto great-grandchildren, teaching us that family was to remain close, to be yourself, that life is too short, and that a shot of whiskey a night keeps you young! I loved our weekly chats, from complaining about life, to giving me advice as I grew in life, and mostly being a safe and accepting place in my toughest times. You always moved with kindness and care. Although dementia would redirect the end of your story, you were able to love life, letting you live in a world of peace and happiness. That's all you ever deserved. Thank you for being a part of who I was and for continuing to be a part of who I will grow into. We love you beyond words, and you will be thought of and missed every single day. Let Dad take care of you now, Grandma. It's your turn to rest. Love Shanie xoxoxoxo
