Carl was born in Sackville, NB, on July 8, 1933.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sanford and Myrtle, brothers Ced, Bill, Reg, and Ed, and his sister Carolyn.
Besides his loving wife Shirley, Carl is survived by his daughters: Carla, Colleen, and Jayne (Chris), his son Brendon, and his sister Jean.
Carl and Shirley loved to travel, especially to Yuma, Arizona for the winter months. They also travelled to the Maritimes, so Carl could proudly show Shirley his old stomping grounds and family history. Carl is fondly remembered for his daily routine of an early morning bicycle ride, tweeting with the birds and his cheeky sense of humour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca).
At Carl’s request, he will be privately remembered by his family and friends at a later date.

Dear Shirley and Carla, I'm so sorry about your loss of such a loving husband and dad. I have such fond memories of Carl, and you Shirley, and it touched me how you always asked Carla about my children. It makes me smile to think of our visit in Yuma and how much fun we had being together, especially all the laugher as we played cards. I'll always remember the extra effort that Carl, and you Shirley, made to ensure we had a fabulous trip (like taking us across the border to Mexico). You both took such good care of us! Sending my love! Thinking of you! May you hold your happy memories in your hearts forever! Love you both!
Heartbroken and overwhelmed, yet I know you will always watch over us from the trees. Rest easy and fly free. We love you
Mom we’re so sorry. You guys had some real great adventures over the years, and memories to cherish forever. We’re here for you now and forever. Love Chris and Jayne
