CECIL HENRY BYE, beloved husband of the late Helen Bye of Milk River, passed away peacefully in Calgary on Thursday April 30 2020, at the age of 92 years.

CECIL HENRY BYE, beloved husband of the late Helen Bye of Milk River, passed away peacefully in Calgary on Thursday April 30 2020, at the age of 92 years.

Cecil is survived by his children, Myrna (Jan) Cameron of Calgary, Darrell (Della) Bye of Lumby, Linda Martin of Medicine Hat, Gloria (Ken) McKinnon of Olds, and Beverly Karpiuk of Medicine Hat, as well as nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by his siblings, June (Cliff) Haiste, Carol (Kurt) Zittlaw and his brother-in-law Amar Singh, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife Helen of 48 years, his son John Karpiuk, son-in-law Andy Martin and numerous siblings.

Cecil was born on December 20, 1927 in Silverton, Oregon to Earl & Edna (née Schmitt) Bye. He was raised and educated in the Masinasin area. He married Helen Karpiuk in 1961 and they farmed the homestead until retiring to Milk River. His many interests included family, friends, camping, fishing, golfing, and curling. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in Milk River Cemetery.
