CLARENCE "COYOTE" PAUL BULL CHILD of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, July 29, 2016, at the age of 54 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Jason Bull Child; aunties Lillian (Don) Head and Garnet Bull Child, Uncle Leonard Bull Child, special friend, Jody Alston as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Also left to mourn his passing are his extended family in the Bull Child, Bad Arm, Prairie Chicken, L'Hirondelle, Big Bull, Plaited Hair, King and Nadeau families.
Coyote was predeceased by his mother Amelia Morning Gun/Bull Child, brother Jonas Bull Child, cousin Richard Mills and grandparents, Jim L'Hirondelle and Grace Bull Child.
Coyote was born on the Blood Reserve at the Blood Indian Hospital on December 11, 1961. He was raised by his grandparents in Moses Lake. He attended two Residential Schools; St. Mary's and St. Paul's, on the Blood Reserve from 1967 to 1973.
Coyote loved life. He enjoyed hockey, basketball, baseball, break-dancing and was a good dart and pool player. He was also a craftsman, artist and a certified chainsaw operator. Coyote also used to like playing crib with his grandpa Jim.
Coyote liked to joke around, was friendly and loved to share his stories. His family and friends will remember him for being reliable and always dependable in times of need. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Coyote's family would like to give special thanks for the unconditional love and support given to him by the Riverhouse Staff and residents as well as the Streets Alive Mission of Ken and Julie Kissick . He was surrounded by love when he passed.
A Wake will be held at STREETS ALIVE, 323-4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Thursday, August 4th, 2016 from 6:30 - 9:00 P.M.
A Celebration of Life will be held at STREETS ALIVE on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Ken Kissick officiating.
An Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
