She is survived by her daughter, Kali (John); son, Ryan (Jaime); beloved granddaughter, Quinn and grandson Heath; her brothers, Wade (Karen) and Bruce (Debbie) Bannick and her sister, Sharon Mercer; brother-in-law, Garry Neigel; nephews, Jared Mercer, Wayne (Leah) and Gary (Pam) Bannick; nieces Devon (Matt) Pelzmann, Pamela (Travis) Bannick, Vicki Miller, and Sherri Satink. Brenda had a special relationship with her great nephews, Caedon and Ried Pelzmann and great nieces Mattea Pelzmann and Bobbie-Jo (Alex) Gahan. She also leaves behind a much-loved Chorkie named Oliver. She will be missed by all.
Brenda was predeceased by her husband Stan; brothers, Jack and Rodney Bannick; parents, Herb and Gloria Bannick; and her in-laws, Pete and Lil Neigel.
Brenda met her husband Stan in Coaldale, Alberta and they married 1985. She lived most of her life in Youngstown, Alberta with short stints in Shaerness, Sunnynook, Lyalta, Scapa, Hanna, Coaldale, and Lethbridge. It was Youngstown she called home and where her and Stan raised their children. She was fun loving and easy going with a big heart. She was well loved by her many cherished lifelong friends and had a special place in her heart for her many dogs.
Brenda attended Henderson Business Collage in Calgary and worked as a school librarian, bartender, bank teller, and convenience store clerk. It was as a caregiver/support worker that she found her calling and she worked for many years at the Youngstown Home until it closed its doors. She excelled at and was well respected at all her jobs.
Brenda triumphed over many health issues in her life and received a new lease on life with a kidney transplant in 2022 only to be struck down by the evil cancer. She fought and endured each setback with strength and determination. She can now be at peace with her loved ones in Heaven.
