Brad is survived by his two sisters, Karen (Kirk) Gelleny, and Susan (John) Beers; along with his niece and nephews: Kala, Owen (Kayla), and Carson Beers.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Connie Gelleny.
While growing up in Lethbridge, Brad started working for the family business, Thomas Radiators. After graduating from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, Brad started to move into construction work such as working with concrete, dirt works, milling and general contracting. Brad took pride in the projects he worked on, making sure every measurement was checked twice and bricks were laid with care.
Brad was interested in a variety of machines with engines! Growing up he enjoyed cruising in his vehicles, particularly his yellow Camaro Z28. He also had fun riding his bike in motocross. In more recent years, Brad used his Bobcat to shovel snow for the neighbourhood. Brad was willing to go the extra mile to help others out!
Brad enjoyed hiking in the coulees and frequented Waterton over the years. He would always be on the lookout for unique rocks. Brad liked to share random facts, jokes and sarcastic phrases, which was always followed by his memorable laughter. He was an avid collector of different types of memorabilia, to name a few: Simpsons, Marvel, and Star Trek. Brad enjoyed playing the lottery—an activity he shared with his mom, Connie, whom he cared for in the comfort of her own home until her passing.
Brad’s caring nature, entertaining stories and sense of humour will be missed.
A Come and Go Reception to celebrate Brad’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to mingle with Brad’s family, share stories and enjoy a slice of apple pie!

Karen I was sorry to hear about your brother. It is never easy to lose a brother no matter at what age. Even though it has almost been 32 years since my brother David was killed in a motorcycle accident on my birthday July 19/93. Just remember to keep those happy memories in your heart! Remembering those memories makes grieving just a little easier to deal with. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely yours Janyce Sudo (Westling)

Brad was a wonderful, generous, and caring neighbor - all of us in the neighborhood will miss his presence. The kindness that he showed the children will always be appreciated, and they are saddened with not being able to visit with him daily. His dedication to Connie was an inspiration to us all. Rest easy my friend, after a life of projects well completed.

If you were lucky enough to have known Brad you were truly blessed . He was a wonderful neighbor who always looked out for us . He would cut our lawn and shovel our snow. He would laugh and say that he needed the exercise. We always enjoyed our chats. It will be strange not seeing his garage door open and him working on another project . We will miss you !
Brad was an amazing neighbor. He was always so helpful and willing to serve his neighbors. My dog and kids loved him. It will be so sad to not see him working hard and tinkering around his home. RIP
Brad was a great neighbor. We worked side-by-side on several of my outdoor projects, projects that indeed turned out better under his care and grateful supervision. He will be missed
