TONY BOGUSKY of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital with his family at his side on Sunday, January 15th at the age of 96.
Tony was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend of 68 years Mary Bogusky and is survived by his children Donna (and Bob) Erickson of Roseville, California, Corrine Klassen of Coaldale, AB, Dennis (and Bev) of Abbotsford, BC, Wade (and Terri) of Red Deer, AB, 11 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved fishing, hunting, and golfing. Wine crafter and gardener extraordinaire, his family and friends will remember him for producing 2 lb tomatoes, potatoes, and enough fresh vegetables to be canned and last the winter. In his leisure time, he was an excellent 5-pin bowler and spent a few years curling. After retirement as an assessor for government of Alberta and County of Lethbridge, Tony and his wife Mary travelled extensively and never missed a chance to be out on the dance floor.
As an inductee in the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame, Tony was instrumental in starting the Lethbridge Boxing Club which he coached for 31 years. He is also respected for having captured a lightweight boxing championship title in his younger years.
Tony's life was well lived, being loved and respected by all who knew him.
At Tony's request, no funeral will be held at this time, but during the summer months, the family will hold a celebration of life for all to attend.

The last time I saw Tony he said to me "I'm 94 years old" as he gave me a punch in the shoulder. I would see him whenever Canada Post would deliver his mail to me. One avenue over. I would always get the tour of his garden and that takes some time for sure. I would have liked more miss-delivered mail. Nice fella.
I had the pleasure to work with Tony at the County of Lethbridge. He had a huge influence on my career and he will be fondly remembered as a colleague and friend. Condolences to his family.
Our belated words of sympathy to the family of the late Tony Bogusky. Helen was a long time friend of Tony and Mary, having been born and raised here on 16th Street North in Lethbridge. Laureen only met Tony and Mary, a few years ago thru the dance group, the Reveller's. We are both so sorry to hear this sad news and look forward to a celebration of Tony's life, later in the summer.
Will miss his infectious kindness, love of life and laughter. He was family to anyone he met.
I hope your families will be able to feel the peace that your precious Dad is feeling now. I want to thank you girls for your concern for Mom at such a difficult time for you. Take care...Linda
