YVONNE BOETTCHER, beloved mother of Kyle Hankinson of Lethbridge, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the age of 45 years. Besides her loving son Kyle, Yvonne is survived by her mother Helen Boettcher of Lethbridge, one brother Gordon Boettcher of Charlotte, North Carolina, one sister Brenda (Bruce) Neuman of Edmonton, two nieces Olivia and Ella Neuman, as well as her special friend Rick Czarny and his two sons Andrew and Sebastian. She is also survived by four aunts Beverley (Don) Caldwell, Dale McNeely of Lethbridge, Verna Helmick of Frederictown, Missouri, Margaret (Stan) McMurren of Edmonton and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her father Roger and gramma Lillian Boettcher.
Yvonne was born May 24, 1965 in Lethbridge, Alberta where she was raised and educated. She attended L.C.C., receiving her Business Administration Diploma and she continued her education throughout her career. She worked for Noble Cultivators and for the last 12 years at Varsteel Limited. Yvonne was fiercely dedicated to the organizations she belonged to. She was an amazing mother, sister, daughter and friend, loyal to the core. Kyle was the center of Yvonne’s universe and she was very proud of him. She was honoured to be part of the sisterhood of Abreast of ‘bridge. She loved Disneyland, it was one of her most favourite places. The outdoors, camping, paddling, canoeing and swimming were all passions of hers. Yvonne packed a lot of life and love into her 45 years and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating.
