ANNIE BOEHR of Coaldale, AB., passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the age of 91 years. She was the oldest daughter and last born in the old country. Annie had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. She married Edwin Boehr in 1961, and raised their daughter Shirley together. Annie spent her life working and playing hard and always had a story to tell. She was a seamstress for Logan Garment, a nurse during the war, a member of the safety council, and a housewife. Annie especially loved her crafts, she was a certified ceramic teacher with her workshop in her basement and spent many hours with many friends here. She used to say, "tell me something I haven't made", we could never think of anything, she did carpentry, broaches, basket weaving, sewing, making wedding dresses, cake decorating, baking, cooking, flower making and you name it. Yet she would put it all away to entertain and feed family and friends. There is nothing she wouldn't do to help anyone if asked or if she perceived a need. Annie loved putting a smile on everyone's faces, and what better way than to play one of the many games she loved. Her all time favorite was "Domonique" (the one with the colored dots) because no matter how old you were, you could still match the dots. A visitation will take place at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH - 2316 17 Street Coaldale, AB, on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
