BODIE, CLARA CAROLINE

BODIE CLARA CAROLINE BODIE, beloved wife of Arnold Bodie, of Coaldale, fought the brave battle of cancer and passed away with her family by her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Clara was survived by her husband Arnold, their son Curtis (Jackie) of Calgary and their children Mathew and Zaden; daughter Carla (Terry) Palmer of Coaldale and their children Brock and Brooklyn. As well as two sisters Ann (Martin) Hudecek and Rose (Lawrence) Bates. She was predeceased by her mother Frances Huber, father Anton Huber and sister Mary Huber. Clara was born and raised in Coaldale. She was married to Arnie for 42 years and enjoyed raising their children on the family farm. She played the organ for the St. Ambrose Senior Choir for nearly 50 years and she was also a member of the C.W.L. The things Clara enjoyed most were golfing, curling, gardening, going on trips with her family and friends and as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Her quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her. Her love of life and people touched the lives of all those who knew her, she will be deeply missed. A Prayer Service will be held at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513-23 Avenue, Coaldale, AB, on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be also held at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513-23 Avenue, Coaldale, AB, on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Tomy Manjaly Celebrant. In memory of Clara, donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Center, 1331-29 Street, N.W., Calgary, Alberta, T2N 4N2. Interment to be held at Coaldale Community Cemetery.
