MRS. BLANCHE KEITH, beloved wife of Mr. Ronald Keith of Lethbridge, passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Blanche was the loving mother of her three children, Kevin (Patricia) and their children Lauren and Ally of Lethbridge, Sheryl (Barry) Eccleton and their children Daniel, Jeff, Nick and Andrew of Ladner, B.C. and Brian of Edmonton. She is also survived by her sister Stephanie (Art) Charlesworth of Lethbridge, brother Raymond Doren of Boyle, and brother-in-law George Mueller of Lethbridge. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and brother. Blanche was born and raised in Southern Alberta. She moved from the family farm to Lethbridge in the early 1950’s, where she met and married Ron Keith, her husband of 53 years. She retired in 1990 after working with Eatons in Lethbridge for 30 years. Blanche was an exceptional personality: she had such a positive outlook, and had such an abundance of love for her family, friends and life. She touched people with her warm personality; Blanche had a way of making people feel at ease in her presence. Life revolved around her family, she was so proud of all their accomplishments and some of her favorite memories were family holidays at Christina Lake, B.C. Nothing gave her more pleasure than to be involved in her grandchildren’s lives, watching ice skating, soccer, baseball and hockey. Blanche will be most dearly missed by her family and friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15th Avenue South, Lethbridge on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Cathy Coates officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Blanche’s name may be made to S.T.A.R.S., Box 570, 1441 Aviation Avenue Park N.E., Calgary, AB, T2E 8M7 or to the Special Olympics B.C, Delta Chapter, 4999-54th Street, Delta, B.C., V4K 4S8.
