BETTY WESTWOOD, beloved wife of the late Malcolm Westwood, of Coalhurst, passed away after a lengthy illness at the St. Michael Health Centre, Palliative Care unit, on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 70 years.

She is the loving mother of; Lesley Leblanc (Doug Wilson) of Coalhurst and Laurey (Clarence) Zerkee of Lethbridge; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Leblanc of Petawa, ON, Daniel Leblanc of Petewawa, ON, Billy Leblanc of Lethbridge and Mary Zerkee of Lethbridge, two great grandchildren Havana Little and Cooper Leblanc.

She is also survived by three sisters and one brother and their families.

She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm, one brother and one sister.

Betty was born September 18, 1939 in Lethbridge where she was raised and educated. She was a loving mother and G-Ma who will be sadly missed. Betty was a long time member of the Coalhurst Royal Canadian Legion and was an avid dart player. Betty was very proud of her grandchildren especially Jeremy and Daniel for being in the military.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY with Major Glen Habkirk officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Reception at the COALHURST ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, 5205-6TH Street, Coalhurst, on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 starting at 2:00 P.M.
