MR. BEN F. CARTER, beloved husband of Mrs. Joan Carter of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his loving children; Tim (Dianne) Carter of Lethbridge, and Terry (Shelley) Carter of Lethbridge, AB, as well as 4 grandchildren; Larae, Marshall, Nicole and Blake. He is also survived by 1 brother, Jack (Irene) Carter of Lethbridge and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Alice Carter as well as 2 sisters Brenda and Joanne and 1 brother Dale. Ben was born December 8, 1940 in Hillcrest and was raised and educated in Lethbridge. Ben was employed with Canada Safeway for 5 years before joining the Alberta Liquor Control Board for his remaining work years, retiring in 1996. Ben was ‘MR. FIX IT’ for everyone he knew. He was a mentor to many of his son’s friends. He was an antique automobile enthusiast. Ben enjoyed camping, reading and spending time with his grandchildren. Ben was kind, gentle and patient to a fault and he will be sadly missed. In memory of Ben, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 207-542 Street South Lethbridge Alberta, T1J 2H1. A private family service was held at Mountain View cemetery.
