ARTHUR GRAHAM BELL, beloved husband of Anne Bell, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the age of 77. Graham, as he was known to his family, also leaves to cherish his memory two children: daughter, Barbara Bell-Mossa (Jesus) of Brooks, Alberta, and son, Douglas Bell along with his partner Dawn St. Lawrence of Ajax, Ontario; five grandchildren: Michael Darby (Kristy), Jason Darby, all of Alberta, Billy, Amber, and Chad St. Lawrence of Ajax, Ontario; Four great grandchildren: Kayley, Claire, Alexandra, and Jordan; three sisters: Elaine Robertson, June Barrett, and Irene Moore; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graham was predeceased by both of his parents, Arthur and Madge Bell; his sister, Barbara; niece, Pat; his grandparents; and his father and mother-in-law, Anne and Dennis Casey. Arthur Graham was born in West Drayton, England on May 19, 1934 and immigrated to Canada with his parents and family in 1948. Little did he know at that time that his future wife was on the same boat. Graham met the love of his life, Anne, on Christmas Day 1958 and they were married in March 1960. Graham and Anne settled in the Toronto area where they raised their family, moving to western Canada in 1988 and finally settling in Lethbridge, Alberta. Graham accomplished much during his lifetime, after serving in the Canadian Army for three years stationed in Soest, Germany, he returned to Toronto, Ontario where he worked for a large catering company as their Toronto area manager for 18 years, before starting his own company which he successfully operated along with his wife, Anne, both in Ontario and British Columbia.
Graham and his wife, Anne, operated a franchise business in Medicine Hat before deciding to retire to Lethbridge in 2004, where they bought a home in Parkbridge Estates. Graham (or Art as he was known by everyone in the Park) enjoyed meeting the people and making new friends. Graham lived life to the fullest; he enjoyed life and felt fortunate to have the love of his family. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. The great grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he looked forward to their visits. Graham will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
