It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of JAMES ELROY BEACH at Chinook Regional Hospital (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada), on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the age of 94 years. 

James will be cherished forever by his children Barbara Lynne Cruz; John Beach (Chrys); and Diane Nikkel (Jim); and his grandchildren Raeanne Beach, Dylan Nikkel and Shaelynn Beach. He was predeceased by his wife, who he loved and adored, Shirley Elizabeth Beach (nee Kennon) in 2021. 

James was born on February 11, 1928 to Evans Elroy Beach and Marie Pearl Alguire in Edmonton, Alberta. Tragically, James' mother died in childbirth. Within a few years, James' father married Blanche Carmichael who lovingly raised James as her own. 

As a dedicated employee, James worked as a cash register repair technician for NCR for over 40 years in Alberta. In fact, he was a whiz with fixing anything at all that was broken, including TVs, washing machines, vacuums and cars. He was a natural athlete who loved snow skiing, water skiing, golfing, and cycling, as well as traveling and camping. James was a gentle, kind, loving family man who inspired many with his love of bicycle riding until almost age 90, his zest for his Mazda Miata convertible which he was still driving, and his pure enjoyment of walks at Henderson Lake and tending his rose garden. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. 

As per James' wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation has been entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home Ltd. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to hold your loved ones close and cherish every moment with them.
