GAIL LINDA BATTEY (née Noble) beloved wife of Paul Battey, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 63 years.
GAIL LINDA BATTEY (née Noble) beloved wife of Paul Battey, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 63 years.
Besides her loving husband Paul, Gail is survived by her children Melissa Battey, Vanessa McDowell (Kyle) and Matthew Battey; her grandchildren Skyler, Liam, Gavin and Kailee; her twin brother Gordon Noble (Hazel); her sisters-in-law Diane Panting (Garth), Linda Kirton (Bruce) and Lorna Pyrih (Dr. Lawrence Pyrih), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Shirley Noble and by her first husband Leonard Hall.
Gail was born July 7, 1954 in Winnipeg, MB. In her early years, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Before she started a family, she worked at the Winnipeg Clinic in the Records Department. As she grew older, she developed a love for baking, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going shopping. Once her children were older, she volunteered at the Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg. Gail moved to Lethbridge in 2013 to be closer to her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and truly adored caring for her many pets over the years.
A Celebration of Gail's Life will be held at the CHAPEL LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Deacon Diane Panting officiating.
Gail's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Wong and the staff at dialysis, as well as the staff on 3C at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
