To the Barber family...I was a student of Mr. Barber's back in the early 80's at LCC Law Enforcement program. He was an excellent educator and mentor for many of us. He helped us very much to progress in our chosen careers paths. All respect Rolly.
My thoughts are with your family at this time. In my time at Lethbridge Community College he was a respected cornerstone and will be missed.
Rollie was instrumental in fostering my career in policing. He was my mentor at LCC and a great instructor. Sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.
Dear Gloria, Braum and Leah, our condolences to all the family. We have great memories, we met the family back in 1965 and have stayed in touch all these years. May the good times help you through this difficult time. Joe & Shirley Riehl, White Rock. BC
Gloria, we are sorry to hear of Rollie's passing. Our deepest sympathy.
Condolences go out to Barber family. Rollie and I were stationed together in Regina and Ottawa. He was a premier instructor and lecturer. When Rollie was "on the boards" you could hear a pin drop in the room. He always had the rapt attention of all and was a great role model for those of us coming up behind him. He was a fine man with a great way with people. I will always remember him in a most positive way.
Rollie was a fine man and will be remembered by all, particulary members of "H" Troop ('59") My sincere thoughts and prayers to his whole family.
I joined the RCMP along with Rolie in April 1958, we trained in Depot Division (Regina SK) till January 1959. We were "A" Troop, with abut 30 members to start. Rolie was elected our Right Marker - on a hockey team that position would be the "captain." Rolie was our leader, our captain for the whole training period. He was the best. "A" Troop had great spirit, as a result of Rolie's leadership, and we've maintained contact through various troop reunions over the years. The last one was held at Depot in 2018. We also kept in touch from time to time via email. RIP old friend!
My deepest condolences to the family. I have so many fond memories of our families spending time together. You are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
Dear Braum & Mary, Quinn & Raene, family members & friends; Roland will be on to new adventures in heaven in life everlasting, May he have peace, joy & order in this new life. May your memories of his accomplishments comfort you and bring you all closer. Take Care at this sad & difficult time of those left behind. Rob & Laura M
My condolences to Gloria and the rest of the Barber family. Mr. Barber was one of my instructors @ LCC 1988-1990, and he was a fabulous man. He always had time for his students and his sense of humor was very entertaining. I have fond memories of him and his teaching techniques. To this day, his stories about "Buggy-Whip, SK" bring a smile to my face. He was instrumental in paving the road for my career! May you all find comfort at this time.
To the Barber Family, My sincere sympathies to all of you on Rollie's passing. I was a teaching colleague of his at the College -- he in Criminal Justice, I in Nursing, for a number of years. We shared many good laughs during those years and I appreciated his commitment to his students. May Peace and Comfort be your experience as you remember this special gentleman. With warm memories, Joanne Penner Herron
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Rollie. He was my instructor and mentor when I took Criminal Justice at LCC in 1990-1992. He even gave me a part time job when he knew I was struggling in college. He helped shape me into the police officer I became in the RCMP. He taught me to work hard and take pride in my work. Thank you. May you Rest In Peace.
So sorry to hear of Rollie's passing, he taught us both at LCC in the 80's and made a huge impact on our lives. His words of advice and teaching methods were second to none. RIP Rollie
Rollie was one of my instructors at Lethbridge Community College during the spring of 1986 when I was in the resource enforcement program. A great teacher who taught me a lot about law enforcement. R.I.P Mr. Barber and thank you for your service.
Wow...a real giant of a man that will be missed so much. We worked with Rollie in FSNA and he was always so kind and welcoming. Our thoughts are with you Gloria.
