ERIC RICHARD BABIN, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Nancy Babin, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 46 years.

Besides his loving wife, Eric is survived by his son Mathieu, and daughters Charlotte & Danica. He is also survived by his mom Denise Theberge (Ron), stepdad Jean-Pierre Theberge (Cathy), brother Jonathan (Melissa) and their children Carson, Cayden, Haylee, and Ayviah; brother Jacques (Sara) and their daughter Elizabeth, nieces Gabrielle and Vivienne, in-laws Henry and Elaine Dyck, sister-in-law Penny Jacques and her children Kayla (Isaiah) and Brett; and sister-in-law Bev Dyck (Jason). As well as Aunt Carmen (Rick) Checknita cousins Mark and Julie, Uncle Dennis (Karen) Labbe, and cousin Troy.

Eric was predeceased by his brother Paul, grandparents Paul and Pauline Labbe, uncle Clement Labbe, and Aunt Irene Labbe.

Eric was born in Montreal, Quebec on November 23, 1976. He grew up in Falher, Alberta and moved to Lethbridge in 1997. It didn't take long for Eric to find his passion playing pool and he was quickly recruited to the pool league where he made so many life-long friends. Even though he tried many other hobbies, pool was always his favorite. Eric worked for several local trucking companies in the Lethbridge area, and was most recently employed with McCain Foods. In 2003 he met the love of his life, Nancy, and it was only a few short months until they were living together. In 2005 Eric and Nancy welcomed their son Mathieu, twins Charlotte and Danica followed in 2010. Above everything else, Eric loved being a father. He may have had a reputation as a big tough guy, but he was a big teddy bear when it came to his kids. He was so proud to see them grow and learning to do all the things that he loved as well. In March of 2022, our family was compete with the addition of our beloved little dog, Sandie. She held a very special place in Eric's heart and has been a great comfort to the family during this difficult time.

Eric will be missed so very much. He will be in our hearts forever.

A Private family service will be held on Saturday, March, 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Pat Siedlecki officiating. The service will be live-streamed and can be accessed via Eric's obituary page on the Cornerstone website. 

Following the service, a Celebration of Eric's Life will be held at BULLY'S UNDER THE GRANDSTAND, 3401 Parkside Drive S., Lethbridge, AB, starting at 4:30 P.M.
