AMIE PATRICIA ASHTON, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the age of 39 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Amie is survived by her biological father Mike Pollom, grandparents Oliver and Dorothy, her stepfather Daryle, her brother Dennis, her aunt Joy-Leigh and uncle Rod, her cousin Sean, her uncle Todd and aunt Lisa, and her biological father Mike Pollom.
Amie was predeceased by her mother Tzena in June 2022.
Amie was born in Camrose, Alberta, on September 5, 1983 to Tzena Ashton and Michael Pollom. As a young child, she enjoyed skating, swimming and riding horses. Amie attended Camrose Composite High School, and worked a variety of jobs in Camrose, Inuvik and Fort McMurray, where she joined Save On Foods, and eventually transferred to Lethbridge. She enjoyed her job, her co-workers and helping people. Amie loved animals, especially her two cats, Jengo and Gracie. She was committed to supporting her close friends and family. Amie helped others as a volunteer firefighter in Inuvik and also volunteered to help build homes for hurricane victims in the Dominican Republic.
A Celebration of Amie's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:30 P.M.The service will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Amie's obituary on the Cornerstone website.
