It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of CARMEN DEIRDRE ANDERSON, of Raymond, at Good Samaritans Prairie Ridge in Raymond, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 71 years.

Carmen was born on April 13, 1951 in Rivers, Manitoba and later in life, called Lethbridge home.

Carmen enjoyed doing a variety of crafts and loved relaxing with a good crossword book. At one point in her life, she would be up early baking bread & cinnamon buns along with many other tasty treats for her family. Spending time with her daughter and grandchildren brought her the most joy & she always looked forward to these special visits. Although she faced many challenges in her life, Carmen's children, grandchildren & son-in-law were the love of her life and she simply glowed when she was with any of them. Carmen wanted her friends and family to always be happy and would do whatever she could to help them.

Carmen was predeceased by her parents, Ruth & Jessie Anderson & two siblings, Patrick & Owen and her son, Michael Swatske.

She is survived by her daughter, Allison (Ryan) Meabry, and her grandchildren Brittany (Abe), Chase, Ty & Aya and her siblings Lee, John, Michael, Wendy, Kerry and Branwen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Diabetes Canada (diabetes.ca/donate) would be greatly appreciated.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone.
