The family of MRS. HARRIETT ANNIE ALLEN, beloved wife of the late Mr. William Allen, are sad to announce her passing on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 just a few days shy of her 99th birthday. She is survived by her daughter Pat Panchmatia (Panch, devoted son-in-law) and much loved 3 grandchildren; Ketan (Bahereh), Bella (Patrick) and Nina (Scott) as well as 7 equally adored great-grandchildren; Maia, Monica and Zara, Chase, Jai, Tate and Naveen. Hettie came to Canada from England at the age of 85 following the death of her husband, Bill, and was welcomed by family and friends alike particularly; Cathy Dyer (with whom she shared a passion for tennis), Mary and Norman Harries and Mary Grace and John Bradley. She spent innumerable hours at the Lethbridge Senior Citizen's Organization as well as volunteering at the Chinook Regional Hospital where she knitted outfits for the newborns. We are very proud of the good, honest and hardworking life she led and there will be a huge hole in our family with her loss. A Memorial Service will be held in early August.
