Agnes was born in Lethbridge on June 21, 1958 and raised in Coutts, Alberta, where she helped out at the family business, Coutts Motors.
After graduating from Erle Rivers High School in Milk River, she moved to Lethbridge to attend college. It was in Lethbridge, while out for an evening of dancing at Esmeralda’s night club, that she had a chance encounter with a bouncer named Ken, who became the love of her life. They were married in May 1983, though never blessed with children, they had numerous fur babies (cats) who Agnes loved.
Agnes was a hard worker and held many jobs as cashier and administrative assistant. By far, her most colorful job was managing the local crew at the Enmax Centre for over 20 years, where she was in charge of setting up for any and all events held there.
Agnes enjoyed long walks, puzzles, crocheting, reading and coffee visits with family and friends. She particularly enjoyed road trips with Ken and vacations to Waterton Park and southeastern B.C.
Agnes loved family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas; she was a terrific cook and an accomplished baker who loved hosting big dinners. She generously shared her Christmas baking with family, friends and neighbors. This became a tradition everyone looked forward to receiving their tray of delicious goodies.
Agnes was a talented crocheter; family and friends who were lucky enough to receive one of her afghans knew they were made with lots of love.
A huge thank you goes out to all the paramedics, nurses and doctors who were involved in her care.
Agnes will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
