Velda Passmore
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, VELDA PASSMORE, who left us peacefully at Piyami Place in Picture Butte, AB, on Monday, May 4, 2026 at the age of 97.
Mom was the heart of our family – a woman whose kindness, strength and warmth touched everyone who knew her. As a devoted mother she gave endlessly of herself, always putting her children first and guiding them with patience, wisdom and unconditional love. As a grandmother she found her greatest joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together and creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
She was known for her gentle spirit, sense of humor, resilience, generosity and for the simple but meaningful ways she made life brighter – whether through a warm meal, a listening ear, or a comforting hug.
Mom is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was predeceased by her husband Murray in 2002, daughter Dianne in 2009, son Trent in 2025, and son-in-law Wayne in 2023.
Though she is no longer with us, her love remains a guiding light in our lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
At Velda’s request, no funeral service will take place.
