Ralph and his wife Faith opened Cornerstone in 1995 after being approached by a developer to help them build a funeral home and they have never looked back. Ralph looks forward to each and every day of work in the funeral industry and his tireless commitment to the families he serves his “calling” in life.
Ralph knew at an early age that being a caregiver in the funeral profession was what he wanted. He remembers the loss of a good friend in a snowmobile accident at the young age of 14 and at that time was inspired by the Funeral Director who worked with the school children through that terrible loss. After finishing High School, he entered the funeral profession and graduated from the Alberta School of Mortuary Science in 1985. At this time, Ralph received his license as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, and he was honored to have achieved the highest overall marks in the province. Ralph has continued to seek out additional training within the field through the completion of courses in Life Appreciation, Mediation and Dispute Resolution, and Managerial Excellence.
