KEDDY IVORY MUNROE, beloved husband of Therese Munroe, of Lethbridge formerly of Barons, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the age of 78 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Therese and daughter Kim(Tyler), sons Keddy Jr.(Darlene), Larry, Brian (Sue) and daughter-in-law Kerry, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and his sisters Linda (Dave) and Wanda (Keith) of Nova Scotia. He was born on January 5 1937 in the family home in Whitehead Nova Scotia.
He began working at an early age first on the tugboats and they took him as far as Bermuda. He spent time in the army with his brother Brad and was an iron worker for many years after travelling west by train. Before retirement he spent 15 years as custodian of Barons School. He was a long time Legion member, hard worker and dependable guy that enjoyed many good times. He had the pleasure of a large extended family and a wide circle of friends. He could always be counted on to lend a hand and had a great sense of humor (Colton said Grandpa knows LOTS of jokes). He told a colorful story and had so very many of them.
We will miss everything about him particularly his strength, but know he is in the company of many fabulous family and friends especially his parents Ivory and Evelyn, Uncle Billy, brothers and best friends Donnie (2004), Brad (2013) and his son Russ (December 14, 2014). Until we meet again, may your beer be cold and lobster straight from the sea!
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH - 355 Columbia Blvd West, Lethbridge, Alberta on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Tim Boyle Celebrant.
